6 p.m. – Quebec Folk Dance Workshop with La Déferlance
Deepen your learning of Quebec folk dance in this interactive workshop! You’ll build your skills and confidence in this lively, festive art form. Guided by a caller, you’ll put what you’ve learned into practice by taking part in a quadrille or square set, in a warm and energetic atmosphere. Domino, tout le monde a chaud !
7 p.m. – Âmes de bois Performance
In this performance showcasing pieces from their new album (May 2025), La Déferlance transports audiences into a world where stories of the past meet the realities of modern Quebec society. With festive grooves, refined vocal harmonies, colorful arrangements, and moments of sensitivity, the group stands out for both its energy and the quality of its performances.
Marie-Desneiges Hamel (accordion and vocals), Grégoire Painchaud (violin, guitar, vocals, and step dancing), Renaud Labelle (double bass, bass, and vocals), and Mathieu Baillargeon (piano, foot percussion, jaw harp, and vocals) share the stage with remarkable intensity and contagious joy.

6 p.m. – « commercial » Dance Workshop
Le style commercial, c’est l’art de danser avec impact, aisance et personnalité. Très présent sur les plateaux télé, dans les grands spectacles et les performances d’artistes, ce style dynamique mise autant sur l’attitude que sur le mouvement. Dans cet atelier, Alex vous invite à découvrir une approche énergique et expressive, accessible à tous, que vous soyez débutant ou déjà passionné de danse. Venez bouger, prendre confiance et explorer le plaisir de performer comme si vous étiez sous les projecteurs.
7 p.m – Alex Francoeur and the Next Generation of Choreographers
Choreographer Alex Francoeur shines a spotlight on emerging talent in a vibrant and inspiring performance. Under his keen eye, a new generation of choreographers presents carefully selected pieces, revealing the richness and diversity of their artistic voices. Blending boldness, creativity, and energy, this evening offers a unique glimpse into the rising talents of dance.
