Launched under the direction of the Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur in 2021, FASS Forward is a digital event celebrating dance short films. It highlights the talent of filmmakers from around the world and showcases the innovation that emerges from the fusion of camera and movement.
The short film The Same Eyes as Yours, directed by Derek Branscombe, won the Grand Prize at the 2026 FASS Forward Dance Film Festival. The jury also awarded an Honourable Mention to « Unspun Flesh, Unburned Shell », directed by Nailong Jiang and Wei Jiang.
Congratulations to all the finalists, whose films from around the world made the jury’s decision particularly difficult. The jury was composed of Carole Laure, Guillaume Côté, and Cathy Levy.
