Créations Brunelle / Plamondon

Virginie Brunelle and Anne Plamondon, well-known figures in the world of Canadian dance, have been choreographers for some dozen years. For the first time, they share the billing in a double program for which they will each create a piece for 8 dancers. In the first part, Brunelle takes the most personal fragments from her repertoire and draws on them in Soufflement. She is interested in the correlation between movement and breathing and the contrast between pain and light. Anne Plamondon, whose career as a dancer with Les Grands Ballets, Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), Crystal Pite and Rubberband has been impressive, recently created group works for Alberta Ballet and Ballets Jazz Montréal. She continues in this vein, and in the second part of the program has a special treat in store for us, bringing together some exceptional Canadian dancers.
