Age 13 and up | Duration 1 h 43 min.
*The film is presented in French.

They are young and come from all corners of the world. Their shared passion for dance has brought them together for one year at a prestigious school. They all share the same dream: to join one of the world’s most renowned ballet companies.

But to even hope of achieving it, they will have to push themselves beyond their limits, with no guarantee of success. Each one, with their own style and sensitivity, will try to grasp that dream with their fingertips, under the demanding yet inspiring guidance of the brilliant Coope, the undisputed master of the art. Sadly, not all of them will reach their goal…

July 31:

Wicked*,
un film de Jon M. Chu

Duration: 2 h 40 min.
*The film is presented in French.

The film “Wicked” (2024) is a cinematic adaptation of the famous musical of the same name. It tells the story of Elphaba Thropp (Cynthia Erivo), a young woman born with green skin, and Galinda Upland (Ariana Grande), a popular and privileged student. They meet at Shiz University, where they develop an unlikely friendship.

Over time, Elphaba discovers her magical powers and becomes aware of the injustices in the land of Oz, especially those committed against Animals who can speak. This awakening leads her to oppose the Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum), while Galinda—who adopts the name Glinda—chooses a different path, putting their friendship to the test. The film explores themes of identity, friendship, and the fight against oppression.
