Crypto <\/em>comes to Saint-Sauveur this summer with an upgraded version that has been acclaimed by critics and audiences across the country. This innovative work, the result of a collaboration between dancer\/choreographer Guillaume C\u00f4t\u00e9, artistic director of the Festival, and librettist Royce Vavrek (Angel’s Bone<\/em>, 2017 Pulitzer Prize for music), blends classical and contemporary dance, theatre, and stunning visual effects by Montreal multimedia company Mirari. Crypto<\/em> takes an original approach to universal themes: forced displacement, man’s stubborn desire to control and artificially transform beauty. Carried by an exceptional cast, this is a strong and original work set to a rich and varied musical landscape by Swedish composer Mikael Karlsson.<\/span><\/p>\n
