A creative powerhouse on the Canadian dance scene, Toronto Dance Theatre marks its 50th anniversary with a Canada-wide tour of some dozen cities, including Saint-Sauveur – its only engagement in Quebec. TDT is directed with consummate skill by Christopher House, resident choreographer since 1981 and artistic director since 1994. This retrospective program, entitled House Mix showcases five short works including Martingales, Field Excerpts, Echo Dark, Vena Cava and Thirteen, testament to the remarkable choreographic output of House over the last three decades. Featuring 12 superb dancers, this compelling event promises to be an eloquent look at the exceptional range of a jewel among Canadian dance troupes.
