“Passion in Performance” – an apt summary of this avant-garde dance company, founded in Toronto in 2004 by Roberto Campanella, formerly with The National Ballet of Canada. In this scintillating program, which deftly mixes ballet and modern dance, ProArteDanza aims to build bridges between generations, disciplines and artistic visions with athletic and dynamic displays of physicality and energy by a stellar cast of performers. Back in Saint-Sauveur for the first time since its remarkable appearance in 2014, the company will dance an exhilarating double bill: Diversion, by Robert Glumbeck, the Resident Choreographer, described by Plank Magazine as “fast, furious, and beautiful” and Fearful Symmetries, by Campanella, an immersion into today’s frenetic pace, set to the music of John Adams.
