Live the music. That is the credo of Orchestre Métropolitain, whose presence at the Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur has become a beautiful tradition and a delight for the area’s music lovers. On the program, three works conducted by rising star Nicolas Ellis: The Hebrides by Mendelssohn, a work composed by the tireless traveler during a visit to Fingal’s Cave in Scotland; The Tempest by Tchaikovsky, a symphonic poem after Shakespeare, at once majestic and peaceful; and Beethoven’s sumptuous Pastoral Symphony. An evening of dreams in the wonderful setting of Saint-Sauveur.
